All-round O'Keefe routs Sri Lankan XI in practice game

Steve O’Keefe completed a 10-wicket haul to follow up his unbeaten 78 in the first innings as Australia ran through Sri Lankan XI in their second innings, bowling them out for 83 runs in 20.5 overs to secure a victory by an innings and 162 runs in the tour match in Colombo.
Australia resumed on their overnight score of 431 for nine. O’Keefe (78 not out) and Jackson Bird (32) went on to add 43 more runs in just over 10 overs before being bowled out for 474 runs.
Sri Lankan XI came out to bat in the second innings, facing a deficit of 245 runs. Mitchell Starc (2-21) struck in the first and third overs to remove Oshada Fernando (0) and Manoj Sarathchandra (0).
After a brief partnership between Shehan Jayasuriya (29) and Asela Gunaratne (23), O’Keefe (5-21) dismissed both of them in the 11th over and struck twice once again in the 15th over, sending Dasun Shanaka (2) and Nisala Tharaka (0) back to the hut.
Nathan Lyon (2-14) accounted for Milinda Siriwardana (2) and Chaturanga de Silva (6) while O’Keefe trapped Dilhara Fernando (15) lbw to complete a five-wicket haul.
Sri Lankan XI were bowled out for 83 runs in 20.5 overs as Australia romped home to a win by an innings and 162 runs.
