Alyssa Healy Leads Australia to win with a Half Century Against Pakistan
A half-century to opening batter Alyssa Healy has led Australia to a nine-wicket win and series whitewash against Pakistan in the third Twenty20 in Kuala Lumpur today.
Having restricted Pakistan to 8-97, Australia made light work of the chase with openers Healy (67*) and Beth Mooney (21) putting on 60 before the latter was dismissed.
Ashleigh Gardner came to the crease and provided good support to Healy who recorded a second half-century in three innings, the duo seeing Australia home with nine over to spare.
Earlier it was a all-round performance in the field that helped Australia keep Pakistan under the 100, with four run outs the highlight.
Megan Schutt lead the way with the ball collecting two wickets (2-15), while spinner Jess Jonassen (0-17) made a successful return from injury.
Captain Meg Lanning missed the match due to a mild lower back injury, and will be reassessed when the team arrives in Antigua on Wednesday ahead of the ICC Women's World Cup in the West Indies.
