Somerset 102-3 (Anderson 41no) beat
Sussex 71-4 (van Zyl 42) by 32 runs DLS method
South Group, Natwest T20 Blast, Taunton

After Corey Anderson's powerful 17-ball 41 propelled Somerset to 102 for three in a rain shortened eight over game, Craig Overton and Max Waller picked two wickets apiece to restrict Somerset to 71 runs, thereby winning the Natwest T20 Blast South Group encounter by 32 runs in Taunton.

Lewis Gregory (7) and Steve Davies (25) started the innings positively for Somerset taking them to 27 for naught in two overs.

Gregory's dismissal in the third over, brought Anderson (41 not out) to the crease and he responded with three boundaries and a six in his first nine deliveries.

Anderson further struck two sixes and a four in the sixth and seventh over combined and was briefly supported by Rob van der Merwe (16) as Somerset went on to post a massive 102 for three in the allotted eight overs.

In the next innings, Overton (2-12) and Waller (2-13) kept picking wickets at regular intervals which dampened their hopes as even an unbeaten 22-ball knock from Stiaan van Zyl (42 not out) was not enough, as they succumbed to a 32 run defeat.
