Gujarat Lions will miss the services of Australia fast bowler Andrew Tye in the remainder of Indian Premier League tournament after he suffered a shoulder dislocation in the recently concluded encounter against Mumbai Indians.

The incident happened in the 11th over of the game when the 30-year-old tried to save a boundary and in the process hurt his shoulder and was stretchered off the field.

Tye made an impressive start this season for Gujarat Lions where he picked a five-wicket haul against Rising Pune Supergiant including a hat-trick and overall has snared 12 wickets from six matches at an economy of under seven.

He will now head back to Australia to find the extent of the damage and is expected to be on the sidelines for a while.

Gujarat Lions are currently at the sixth position in the table with three wins from nine matches and will have to win all their remaining five games to have any chance of making it to the play-offs.
