Mahela Jayawardene will miss the third One-Day International between Sri Lanka and England in Hambantota tomorrow and has been replaced in the home side's squad by Ashan Priyanjan.

He has asked to miss the match due to personal reasons and has been given permission to do so by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Priyanjan, who led Sri Lanka A when they played England in a tour game last month, comes into the squad as his replacement.

He has played 21 One-Day Internationals for his country including the first three matches of Sri Lanka's recent 5-0 defeat in India.

Sri Lanka lead the seven-match series 2-0 after wins at the R Premadesa Stadium in Colombo.

They held on to beat a hard-charging England side by 25 runs in the opening match before outclassing their opponents to win by eight wickets three days later.

The series returns to Colombo for the fourth match before Pallekele hosts the fifth and sixth matches while the RPS will be in action again for the series' conclusion.
