The Asia Cup was set to be held in Sri Lanka but has been shifted to the UAE due to the economic crisis and security threat in the island nation. Sri Lanka will continue to be in the official capacity of hosts.

The Asia Cup will be played from August 27 to September 11 in the T20 format. It will present a great opportunity for all the six participating teams to fine-tune their skills right before the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
