Auckland Aces pipped Central Stags by just 2 runs, in a tense thriller, in the 13th Match of the Dream11 Super Smash today at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth.

Central Stags 208-7 (20 Ovs) – (George Worker 62, Tom Bruce 67, Willem Ludick 27*; Ben Lister 2-30, Ronnie Hira 2-40)
Result – Auckland Aces won by 2 runs

Auckland Aces won the toss and decided to bat today and the big guns came out to play - Auckland Aces totalling 210-4 in their 20 Overs with Martin Guptill 43, Colin Munro 31 and Mark Chapman 63* smashing it to all parts and giving the Aces their first win of the tournament (albeit by just 2 runs) Ryan Watson 2-42 and Blair Tickner 1-32 were the pick of the bowlers for Central Stags.
In reply, Central Stags gave it a good go, falling just 2 runs in the end, scoring 208-7 in their 20 overs with George Worker 62 and Tom Bruce 67 top scoring and Willem Ludick 27* with a final over flourish hitting Munro for 23 off it; Ben Lister 2-30 and Ronnie Hira 2-40 were the main wicket takers for the Aces.
Central Stags required over 100 off the last 7 overs and not many punters would have given them any chance at all, but Willem Ludick 27* and Tom Bruce 67 gave it a good go!!
