Batting first, Auckland scored 184-4 mainly thanks to Craig Cachopa 71*, Daniel Bell-Drummond 30 and Mark Chapman 29 - Christi Viljoen 2-36 and Jacob Duffy 2-37 were the pick of the bowlers for Otago.
