Batting first, Wellington scored just 122 with Colin Munro 4-15, Mitchell McClenaghan 3-32 and Ronnie Hira 2-22 outstanding with the ball - Adam Hose 38 top scored.
In reply, Colin Munro 41 and Mark Chapman 47* were the standout batsmen for Auckland and Ollie Newton 2-20 and Ben Sears 2-25 with the ball for Wellington.
