Australia A claim opening T20 against England Women's Academy

Each of Australia A's top seven batters all reached double figures striking at better than a run-a-ball, which was key in building a competitive total.

It was a similar story in the field, with six players claiming wickets to restrict the hosts to 6-134.

Australia A was able to take wickets and break the England partnerships regularly which proved the difference between the two sides.

Spinner Erin Burns finished with 1-13 to go with a handy 29 with the bat, while Sammy-Jo Johnson (1-11) and Carey (1-23) were also economical.

The two teams will play a final T20 on Friday before Australia A returns home.
