Australia add Matt Renshaw in squad for final Test against South Africa
The 21-year-old had a promising start to his career following his Test debut that came in November 2016 but was dropped out contention due to poor form with Cameron Bancroft taking his place.
Renshaw though made a strong comeback for his domestic side Queensland with scores of 170, 112, 143* and 81* in his last eight innings.
With skipper, Steven Smith banned for the final Test due to an admission of ball-tampering scandal and Bancroft fined 75 percent of match fees and also sanctioned three demerit points, Australia now find themselves in a precarious situation with the series on the line.
Earlier, Smith along with vice-captain David Warner stepped down from the roles of leadership and Tim Paine was handed the captaincy for the fourth day's play in the third Test at Newlands since the news on the ball-tampering broke out.
Cricket Australia has also launched an internal investigation on the act orchestrated by the 'leadership group' of Australia with Smith and Warner on the line for further sanctions.
South Africa currently hold a 2-1 unassailable lead in the series following their 322-run victory in the Cape Town Test.
