Put in to bat first, Australia scored 327 – 7 with all the top order batsmen chipping in - Usman Khawaja 98, Aaron Finch 53, Shaun Marsh 61 and Glenn Maxwell 70. Usman Shinwari 4-49 and Junaid Khan 3-73 were the wicket takers for Pakistan.
In reply, Pakistan were again just a few runs short in the run chase, scoring 307 - 7 - Haris Sohail 130, Shan Masood 50 and Imad Wasim 50* the main run getters and Jason Behrendorff (3-63) the pick of the bowlers for Australia.
