Sussex won the toss and decided to field  in this one day warm up match for Australia at the 1st Central County Ground, Hove today.

Australia   277-9 (Aaron Finch 78, Marcus Stoinis 110; Jofra Archer 3-62)

Sussex   220  (Philip Salt 62 , Harry Finch 45, Laurie Evans 57; Ashton Agar 3-64)

Result   Australia won by 57 runs

Australian batsmen Aaron Finch 78 and Marcus Stoinis 110 stared with bat, helping Australia to 277-9 in their allotted 50 overs. Jofra Archer 3-62 was the pick of the Sussex bowlers, who all bowled well and kept the Aussies well below a par score of 300.

In the run chase, Sussex fell short by 57 runs after being bowled out for 220 in reply, having been looking to be in control of the run chase - Philip Salt 62 , Harry Finch 45 and Laurie Evans 57 all batted well, but a great spell of bowling by Ashton Agar (3-64) got the crucial wickets, leaving Sussex stranded.
