Sri Lanka need 499 runs to win at the close of play on Day 3 of the 2nd Test against Australia at the Manuka Oval, Canberra.

Sri Lanka added a further 92 runs to their overnight 1st innings total of 123-3. Dimuth Karunaratne top scored with 59 and Mitchell Starc 5-54 and Nathan Lyon 2-70 were the main wicket takers for Australia.
Australia then decided to bat again, rather than enforcing the follow on, scoring 196-3 before declaring and setting Sri Lanka a total of 516 to win. Usman Khawaja 101* and Travis Head 59* put on an unbeaten partnership of 159 for the 4th wicket, in just over 32 overs.
At the Close of Play, Sri Lanka needed 499 runs to win with 10 wickets remaining, wuth their score on 17-0.
