Bad weather hampers England's preparations for Test series
England XI v Bangladesh Cricket Board XI
Tour game, Chittagong, day one
England had a dampening start to their preparations for the Test series with rain washing out the first day's play against Bangladesh Cricket Board XI in Chittagong without a ball being bowled.
The game was scheduled to begin at 10am local time but the overnight rain and the wet outfield continued to persist with the umpires eventually decided to call off the play on day one.
Bangladesh Cricket Board XI is captained by Sabbir Rahman and also includes the likes of Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Rubel Hossain, Shuvagata Hom and Soumya Sarkar.
For England, Alastair Cook will miss both the warm-up games in order to attend the birth of his second child and is expected to join the squad ahead of the first Test at the same venue on 20th October.
