The Bangladesh selectors have included uncapped fast bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi in the 14-man squad for the first two One-Day Internationals of the series against Zimbabwe which begins on 7th November.

Rabbi, who bowls medium pace was included on the back of impressive performances for Bangladesh A in South Africa having picked up nine wickets in four games.

Apart from the 23-year-old, the only other addition to the squad that played against South Africa earlier this year is Al-Amin Hossain.

Al-Amin, who last played an ODI in November 2014, was recalled from the Bangladesh A tour of Africa earlier in the month along with Rabbi, Sabbir Rahman, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das and Jubair Hossain.

Rabbi and Al-Amin will replace Rubel Hossain and Anamul Haque in the squad led by Mashrafe Mortaza, who has recovered from illness.

Rubel is yet to recover from the calf injury he sustained in September while Anamul has been overlooked for a while now with his last appearance for the national team coming in the 2015 World Cup in March.

Meanwhile, Taskin Ahmed is also yet to recover from the side strain he sustained in September.

Zimbabwe will be touring Bangladesh for three ODIs and two Twenty20 Internationals, all of which will be played in Mirpur.

Squad for the first two ODIs:

Mashrafe Mortaza (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Jubair Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi
