South Africa Womens' tour of Bangladesh has been postponed for a second time after it was initially delayed.

The team were originally scheduled to tour last month before revising their plans to play three One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 Internationals between 6th and 15th November.

Concerns over security in Bangladesh in the wake of Australia's pull-out from a Test tour in October led to the start of the series being delayed.

However, that delay has now made it impossible for South Africa to send a full-strength side.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive officer Haroon Lorgat explained:

"This is most unfortunate as a number of our players are unavailable to tour because of personal security concerns, work or the end of year study and exams at this time of year."

CSA added that they are working with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to reschedule the tour.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, are hopeful that Zimbabwe Women will tour instead of South Africa, potentially arriving as early as 14th November.
