All you need to know about the Bangladesh tour of India consisting of 3 T20Is and 2 Tests.

The fact that Bangladesh's tour of India is starting with the T20Is presents themselves with the best opportunity to register their first ever T20I win against India.

Despite all the turbulence going on in the Bangladesh cricketing circles, nothing speaks louder than the performances that the players put on the field and this might act as a motivation for Bangladesh to turn things around.

India's weakest suit is T20 cricket in which they are placed at the 5th spot in the ICC charts with 261 ratings. Bangladesh at the 9th place with 224 ratings. But, their depth in the batting line-up gives them an opportunity to give India a run for their money in this format.

Bangladesh have a very poor head to head T20 record against India and have not won even one of the eight matches played between the two teams, with India winning all of them.

This is the first time that Bangladesh are visiting India for a proper tour. In the past, India have been guilty of not inviting Bangladesh for a full tour and making do with a one-off Test or tri-series here and there. That this one will comprise 3 T20Is and 2 Tests is the first occasion that Bangladesh will come to the Indian shores for a proper tour.

Mominul Haque has been appointed Bangladesh Test captain while Mahmudullah Riyad will lead in the T20Is after skipper Shakib al Hasan was banned for two years for failing to report multiple approaches from a bookie.

For Bangladesh, Liton Das has scored 448 runs from 21 T20Is at a healthy strike rate of 140 and looked in good touch in the ODI World Cup. Mahmudullah has recently shown signs of bouncing back from an extended run of poor form and with him been given the extra responsibility, he is expected to come good. With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman will be the leader of the pack.

A lot of onus will be on Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal to do the heavy lifting for India.
