A nightmare start for Bangladesh soon turned around at the hands of Mushfiqur Rahim (115*) and Liton Das (135*) today on Day 1 of the 2nd Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka.

Day Break: Day 1 Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat
It was a nightmare start for Bangladesh, as openers Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Tamim Iqbal were both gone 0, leaving them 6/2 and in a dire situation.
Things didn't improve as Nazmul Hossain Shanto (8) and Mominul Haque (9) joined shortly after, Bangladesh 24/4 and all but out.
Kasun Rajitha (3/31) and Asitha Fernando (77/2) took the wickets, putting Sri Lanka in the driving seat.
Mushfiqur Rahim (115*) and Liton Das (135*) came to Bangladesh's rescue though, smashing some big runs to get them well and truly back into this one.
They closed the day out at 277/5, and considering their start, will be more than happy with that.
