Barmy Army v The Richies - 4th Match in Bashes T20 Series

Having gone 1-0 up in Brisbane the Barmy Army are now trailing 2-1 meaning this is a must win game for them if they are to retain the Bashes which they won 3-2 in a thrilling finale in 2017/18.

  • The Barmy Army and The Richies will be locking horns in the 4th match of their T20 Bashes Series on Monday 3rd January at The Victor Trumper Oval, 361-441 Glenmore Rd/Hampden Street, Paddington.

  • The match starts at 3pm with a coin toss at 2.30pm, conducted by McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director Tracy Bevan

  • The match will be played using pink stumps to show support for people experiencing breast cancer

  • Respective national anthems to be played at 2.55pm.

Throughout the Bashes the Barmy Army have been playing in red and the Richies in pink as both teams raise funds for their nominated charities - the Ruth Strauss Foundation and the McGrath Foundation respectively. Whilst the Barmy Army will still be playing in red, they will be joining The Richies and donating all the monies raised throughout the day to the McGrath Foundation.

All supporters and media are very welcome to come down and watch.

The match is being generously sponsored by the Australian Venue Company whose Cargo Bar will be the official Evening HQ for the Barmy Army during the Sydney test.

A spokesperson for the McGrath Foundation added: “It’s always a pleasure to see The Richies taking up their pink gear to highlight the vital nursing support we offer to those facing the challenges associated with breast cancer.
