Situated in the historic village of Barwick-In-Elmet West Yorkshire, Barwick CC play their cricket in the Wetherby Cricket League.

They club has 1st and 2nd senior teams plus a fantastic junior section made up of two U9s, U13, U15 and U17 teams.

 

Established in the late 1800s Barwick CC has enjoyed plenty of success and is the focal point of the community.

Recent achievements include:

  • Wetherby League Champions 1991, 1996, 2004, 2011
  • Fred Fleetwood Cup Winners 1982, 1988, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2009, 2014

Every August we also host a junior coaching week in association with Yorkshire County Cricket Club where over 80 children are coached by some of the best players and coaches in the sport.

Recently we've had Collis King, Arnie Sidebottom and Ryan Sidebottom coaching at the club. Former Yorkshire CCC and first-class umpire Barrie Leadbeater is vice-president of the club.

Our players have enjoyed some great personal achievments including six sixes in an over by first team captain Gary Bettison in 2012. 

And on seperate occasions four players have taken 10 wickets including: Steve Bryant, Pete Causon, Graham Bradley and John Leak.
