Baston Cricket Club
Baston Cricket Club are a small village team located in south Lincolnshire. A sleeping giant of local cricket, the club compete in the South Lincs & Border Leagues as well as the Peterborough Midweek Cricket League.
We are a friendly and jovial bunch, who enjoy playing cricket and having a beer or seven afterwards. The club are very fortunate to be sponsored by the local pub - The White Horse - which is located no more than 150 yards from the changing rooms!
The club has been playing cricket in the village since World War 2. There are accounts of mighty sixes being struck on Brudenell playing fields in books about the village going right back to the 1940s.
Baston CC have been through some difficult times, almost folding on several occasions, but are now thriving with a well-functioning committee and an ever-increasing portfolio of facilities. The club retains large nucleus of players who live in the village and are increasingly active in the local community.
We are always on the lookout for new members, playing or non-playing. For more information, please contact Adam Hilless on 07860636773 or [email protected]
