Perth Scorchers won the toss and elected to bat and scored a competitive 196/3 in their 20 overs, mainly thanks to Laurie Evans 69 (46), Ashton Turner 47* (26) and Nick Hobson 46 (36).
In reply, the Stars were always behind in the run chase and ended up 47 runs short - Beau Webster 63 (47) top scored for the Stars and Matthew Kelly 4-25 was outstanding with the ball for the Scorchers.
