A stunning innings of 74 (48) from Sixers skipper Moises Henriques took the Sydney franchise to a respectable 146/7, after being in big trouble at 39/5 in the 9th over. Thomas Rogers 3-28 was the pick of the Hobart Hurricanes’ bowlers.

In reply, Hobart Hurricanes started strong with Matthew Wade and D'Arcy Short adding runs before Peter Handscomb (42) top scored for the side.

Unfortunately for the Hurricanes that's where things stopped, their tailend scoring 17 between them. Hayden Kerr (2/15) and Tom Curran (3-27) were the pick of the bowlers as Sixers fought to a 14 run win.
