Milne, Billings guide Kent to six wicket win
Kent 151-4 (Billings 56no) beat
Somerset 149 (Milne 5-11) by six wickets
South Group, Natwest T20 Blast, Taunton
Adam Milne registered figures of 11 for five to restrict Somerset to 149 runs following which Sam Billings scored an unbeaten fifty to help Kent complete the chase in 18.2 overs with six wickets in hand in the Natwest T20 Blast South Group encounter in Taunton.
Lewis Gregory (16) and Steven Davies (17) provided a brisk start for Somerset with score of 35 in the third over but the innings went haywire as they lost three wickets in a span of five runs with Milne (5-11) picking two of it.
Johann Myburgh (25), James Hildreth (36) and Dean Elgar (25) all had starts but did not carry on with it as Kent made stunning comeback with wickets from Milne and James Neesham (2-43) to bowl out Somerset for 149 runs in 18.5 overs.
Much like the previous innings, openers Joe Denly (33) and Daniel Bell-Drummond (19) provided a solid stand of 40 runs in the first five overs to lay the platform for the chase.
Even though, Bell-Drummond and Sam Northeast (3) fell in quick succession, Billings (56 not out) looked at his best and added two vital stands of 33 and 36 with Denly and Darren Stevens (17) to put them in course of win which they eventually completed in 18.2 overs with six wickets in hand.
