Bracebridge Heath win Lincolnshire ECB Premier League

With three games to go and a clean sheet of victories, Bracebridge Heath’s win over Grimsby sealed the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League championship.

And on Monday, they continued their winning run in a high scoring game against Scunthorpe Town which brought five half centuries.

Second placed Grantham also had a game that brought nearly 500 runs but were on the losing side against Woodhall Spa despite Dan Freeman’s unbeaten innings 101. But Grantham bounced back on Monday, defeating Market Deeping, with Joe Peck taking six wickets.

Sleaford stay third after two victories over the weekend, the first against Boston which brought a five wicket haul for overseas players on both sides, for Boston’s Ishan Jayarathna and Sleaford’s Ian McPeake.

Woodhall are fourth following their two wins – the second over Grimsby Town in which Prasanna Jayawardene hit 107 not out, while Lindum and Boston are fighting it out for fifth place.

Lindum beat Bourne then had their match against Louth of Monday abandoned while on Monday Boston also beat Bourne.

Having gone down to Market Deeping on Saturday, Alford came close to victory on Monday, Sleaford finally winning by just two wickets after Nick Bennett had claimed six.
