Bracebridge in Area Final of ECB Cup

It’s official!  Lincolnshire now has one of the top eight T20 league teams in the country.

Bracebridge Heath’s success in the regional round of the NatWest Club T20 Cup has propelled them into the Regional Finals, just one match away from a place in September’s National Final.

Just eight teams now remain in the competition and this weekend’s round of matches will whittle the number down to four who will be competing for the title on September 16 at the County Cricket Ground in Derby

The club progressed to the national competition after winning the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League’s Winkworth Cup. This took them to Denby CC in Derbyshire for last Sunday’s Area Finals where they overcame Nottinghamshire winners Cuckney by just six runs, then Denby by seven wickets with 8 balls to spare.

This gave the Lincoln side a home tie against Bradford League winners Hanging Heaton which will be played at Cross O’Cliff Court on Sunday, August 12, starting at 1pm.

Spectators are welcome – the bar will be open and the club is putting on a barbecue.
