Even a return in form of David Warner was not good enough for St Lucia Stars to break their losing cycle.

Following the dismissal of Andre Fletcher after scoring 17, David Warner and Rahkeem Cornwall put together a solid partnership to set the platform for a big total. David Warner was back to form after a long, long time and despite him being a bit scratchy, he fought it out in the middle.

Warner was ably supported by Cornwall and then by Kieron Pollard. Pollard launched a blazing attack against the TKR bowlers to lead the team to a massive 212. Javon Searles and Shannon Gabriel picked a wicket each but all TKR bowlers went for runs.

In reply, TKR lost the wickets of openers Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn early. Colin Munro got a start but could not go big this time around.  Then, Captain Darren Bravo and Brendon McCullum complemented each other shot for shot and unleashed a rampage in the slog overs.

The team needed 84 runs in less than five overs which was a humongous ask.  But, Bravo and McCullum got stuck into the bowlers. Bravo clubbed 5 sixes off Pollard’s over to begin the carnage.

Rahkeem Cornwall then broke down, squandering 25 run as TKR clinched the rubber by five wickets. After 15 consecutive losses, the St Lucia Stars find themselves in a spot of bother in the tournament.
