Brett Lee A 'Natural Athlete' - Hoggard
Matthew Hoggard pays tribute to the career of Brett Lee, who he says was a "natural athlete" and a "consistent performer", after the Australia announced his retirement from the game.
Hoggard, who played against Lee during his own international career, says he was impressed at how long Lee was able to bowl so quickly for.
To still be able to bowl at the speeds he was at the age of 38 was "amazing", Hoggard says before lauding Lee as a "consistent performer" in one of the best sides the world has ever seen.
Despite a number of injuries throughout his career, Lee still generated excitement whenever he bowled and Hoggard makes the point that he was also a useful batsman and fielder - an all-round and natural athlete, as he puts it.
Lee called time on his career last week while Hoggard played 67 Tests and 26 One-Day Internationals for England between 2000 and 2008.
