Brett Lee wears pink to support McGrath foundation
Australian fast bowler Brett Lee is supporting the McGrath Foundation by wearing pink on the Jane McGrath Day which is the third day of the Sydney Test match in January.
McGrath Foundation is one of Australia's most respected and recognised charities which raises money to support breast care nurses and to increase breast cancer awareness.
The service is provided free of charge and over 36,000 Australian families have been benefitted by the support of 105 McGrath Breast Care Nurses all over the country.
Speaking about the Jane McGrath Day, Lee said that he and the rest of the commentators are wearing pink to support the event.
“Day three of the Sydney Test, it is the pink day, the Jane McGrath Day.
“There are lot of tributes going out to the McGrath Foundation.
“It is a great day, the foundation is trying to raise money and awareness for breast care nurses and raise money also for breast cancer.”
Despite a washout on the much awaited day three of the third Test between Australia and West Indies, the McGrath foundation's spirit remains high after raising $166,126 in the third Test thus far.
