The WBBL Brisbane Heat have jumped back into the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League top three after a comfortable win over the Hobart Hurricanes in Launceston today.

After losing a close match yesterday to the Hurricanes, Brisbane bounced back in emphatic fashion, bowling out the home team for 80 in reply to their total of 8-138.

Brisbane's win has them sitting in second spot after 10 matches, with victories over the Perth Scorchers on Boxing Day in Perth and today's result completing a solid away trip.

Teenage batter Josie Dooley, in her third game for the Heat, top-scored with 44 not out from 30 balls while player of the match Grace Harris scored 32 from 32 balls and took 1-8 from three overs.

The Heat return to Brisbane tomorrow before travelling to Mackay on Friday for two matches at Great Barrier Reef Stadium at Harrup Park.

Brisbane play the Adelaide Strikers under lights on Saturday before taking on the Melbourne Renegades on Sunday afternoon.
