England Women 231 & 87-3 (Knight 34no) v
Cricket Australia XI 271 (Stalenberg 114)
Tour game, Sydney, day two
Naomi Stalenberg scored a fine century but England Women bounced back through a four wicket haul from Katherine Brunt to bowl out Cricket Australia XI for 271 following which the visitors took their total to 87 for three at stumps on day two of the tour game in Sydney.
Cricket Australia XI started the day with a score of 82 for four. Stalenberg (114) was the cornerstone of the Cricket Australia XI batting and her runs came at a strike-rate close to 170 and had 18 boundaries and a six in it.
Delissa Kimmince (19), Sarah Alley (13), Molly Strano (14) and Lauren Smith (12) all crossed the double figures but failed to carry on big and Stalenberg's massive effort meant Cricket Australia XI reached 271 before they were bowled out.
Beginning their second innings with a 40 run trail, Lauren Winfield (7) fell early this time around while Tammy Beaumont (24) got off to a decent start.
Just as England were building, Beaumont and Georgia Elwiss (8) fell in quick succession but Heather Knight (34 not out) ensured the visitors reached 87 for three, increasing their lead to 37 runs with seven wickets in hand.
