Bulawayo to host New Zealand Tests
Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo will host both Test matches when New Zealand tour Zimbabwe between between late July and early August.
The last Test match hosted at Queens Sports Club was in 2011 and in a closely contested encounter, New Zealand beat Zimbabwe by 34 runs.
In recent years, Harare Sports Club has been the primary choice for Test matches played in Zimbabwe due to logistical and financial considerations.
In 2013, a Test match against Bangladesh was scheduled to be played in Bulawayo but the game was shifted to Harare as a cost-cutting measure.
Nevertheless, between 2013 and 2015, Queens Sports Club has staged some 17 One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 Internationals.
The first Test between Zimbabwe and New Zealand will begin on 28th July while the second game will get underway on 6th August.
Prior to the start of the Test series against Zimbabwe, New Zealand will land in Johannesburg to undergo a training camp from 11th July.
