Canada To Host USA, Afghanistan, Trinidad & Tobago
Canada will host Afghanistan, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States of America (USA) for a round-robin Twenty20 tournament later this month and play a two-day game against USA.
The 2011 Etihad Summer Festival will run from 11th August to 13th August before the Auty Cup two-day game between Canada and USA - international cricket's oldest rivals - will be played on 15th and 16th August.
"Part of the mandate of the festival is to assist with the development of cricket in the region. Last year we were able to bring in Bermuda and this year we are excited to share this opportunity with USACA," Cricket Canada President Ranji Saini.
"The inclusion of the USA adds some more excitement to an already riveting schedule. The addition of Canada vs. USA and USA vs. Afghanistan to the slate is sure to draw interest from around the world."
The festival will follow the four-day ICC Intercontinental Cup fixture between Canada and Afghanistan as well as two one-day games.
