Members of the Cape Town Blitz took some time to share their knowledge with promising young cricketers at Langa Cricket Club on Friday.

Talented cricketers within the Western Province Cricket Association structure, who form part of the Langa and Khayelitsha Hubs, as well as the Solomon Makhosana program, got to rub shoulders and gain insight from the likes of Janneman Malan, Sisanda Magala, Khwezi Gumede and Gregory Mahlokwana.

"It was a pleasure to work with the Cape Town Blitz on their giving back initiative that focused on coaching young aspiring cricketer from the Townships of Cape Town," WP Cricket Development Co-ordinator, Lusindiso Malilwana said.

"The boys were surprised and overwhelmed to be coached by the likes of Magala, Malan, Mahlokwana and youngster Gumede at the Coaching Clinic.

"The boys were impressed to have their bats, shirts and balls signed at the end of the day as well.

"I would like to thank the Cape Town Blitz management for this great initiative and hopefully the partnership can grow from strength to strength," he added.

The WPCA were ranked as the top affiliate in the Hubs category at the end of last season’s CSA Incentive Scorecard.

Cape Town Blitz will end the league phase of the Mzansi Super League with a home match against the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants on Friday, 6 December and an away match against the Tshwane Spartans on Sunday, 8 December.
