Emirates Cricket Board XI 56-7 (Carter 4-20)
Tour Game, Dubai, day one
The top-order of the West Indies had a decent outing following which Jonathan Carter and Miguel Cummins shared seven wickets between them to restrict the Emirates Cricket Board XI to 56 for seven at stumps on day one of the tour game in Dubai.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Leon Johnson (50 retired out) and Shane Dowrich (24) before the latter was removed Amjad Javed (1-43).
However, Johnson, Shai Hope (59 retired out), Roston Chase (38 retired out) and Jermaine Blackwood (45 retired out), spent a good time in the middle before making way for the others to have the hit.
West Indies eventually declared after scoring 249 for six from 70 overs.
In their first innings, Emirates Cricket Board XI lost seven wickets with just 20 runs on the board in just eight overs with Cummins (3-12) and Carter (4-20) sharing the wickets with the new ball.
Shaiman Anwar (23 not out) and Rohan Mustafa (17 not out) provided some respite with their unbeaten 36-run stand as Emirates Cricket Board XI ended the day at 56 for seven with one more day to go in the game.
