The men in yellow would be looking to inch closer to sealing a play-offs spot as they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). With four wins from five games, a win in this game will take Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to the top of the table based on a higher net run rate.

India is known to be a sportsman loving country, rather than a sports loving country, and there is no doubt that this contest will be talked about as a Virat Kohli versus MS Dhoni contest. Then again, one must remember that the captain is only as good as his team and CSK appear to be the better team at present.
Not only have Chennai won close games, but they have found a couple of new match winners with the bat and ball in each game. The latest round of heroics came from Ambati Rayudu, who took CSK from a below average score to a formidable one. If that wasn’t enough, Deepak Chahar swung the fortunes their way with a beautiful display of swing bowling!
Bangalore, on the other hand, are coming on the back of a win against the hapless Delhi Daredevils, thanks largely to AB de Villiers’ 39 ball unbeaten 90. Their bowling, apart from Umesh Yadav, has failed to withstand the pressure of top quality batting and that has left them exposed time and time again.
Now that all of their top order batsmen are in form, CSK will look to milk a few easy runs against the RCB bowling attack. They will also be aware of the fact that on a given day, any one of Kohli, de Villiers and Quinton de Kock can win a game single handedly! The latter is yet to make a significant contribution, and RCB would be hoping for some fireworks from him to get their tournament up and running, before time runs out!
RCB might look to bring in Colin de Grandhomme and Tim Southee in place of Corey Anderson and Chris Woakes.
Royal Challengers Bangalore – Quinton de Kock (wk), Manan Vohra, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Colin de Grandhomme/Corey Anderson, Washington Sundar, Tim Southee/Chris Woakes, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
Imran Tahir missed the last game due to illness and should slot back in for du Plessis, should he recover.
Chennai Super Kings – Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Sam Billings, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Imran Tahir
