Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen face off in the CPL Big Six Challenge

Explosive batsmen Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen took on each other in the Caribbean Premier League Big Six Challenge in what was a fun encounter between the two.

The CPL Big Six Challenge is a lighthearted contest to see which batsman can hit the ball the farthest in the six deliveries he faces.

In this year’s edition of the CPL, Pietersen will represent the St. Lucia Zouks while Gayle will play for the Jamaica Tallawahs.

In their Twenty20 careers, Gayle has smashed 553 sixes in 212 matches while Pietersen has managed to hit 101 sixes in 119 games.

Gayle was more vocal out in the middle as he tried to rough up his friend Pietersen with some words all of which was done in a jovial manner.

By the end of the challenge Pietersen managed to get as far as 117 meters but Gayle won the challenge with by clocking a distance of 119 meters.
