Club Cricket Conference Teams Up With Dennis, SISIS

The Club Cricket Conference (CCC) has announced a new partnership with Dennis and SISIS, manufacturers of cricket pitch, wicket and square maintenance equipment which is widely used in cricket groundcare.

The partnership will see Dennis and SISIS support the 2013 CCC handbook and feature on the Conference website, enabling members to link directly to their respective websites.

There will also be regularly updated blog pages featuring their equipment for cricket pitch maintenance, offering the opportunity for groundsmen to interact and ask questions and regular features in the CCC newsletter.

Dennis and SISIS are also committed to appearing at CCC events and matches, giving demonstrations of their latest turf maintenance equipment and talking with cricket ground professionals.

Furthermore, both companies have pledged active support of CCC's involvement with the International Cricket Council (ICC Europe) in its campaign to grow cricket as a recreational game in countries where facilities are limited.

Seminars and presentations delivered by Dennis and SISIS will be aimed at getting clubs to adopt grass rather than make-do pitches and showing them how looking after fine turf is achievable and beneficial.

Dennis and SISIS came together as part of the Derby-based Howardson Group two years ago and are committed to helping clubs get the best possible playing surface while the Club Cricket Conference, founded in 1915, is an association of more than 1,000 clubs and leagues who have their base in the South of England.

Welcoming Dennis and SISIS on board, Cricket Development Manager Gulfraz Riaz said: "Partnerships are an important part of the game of cricket and this is a excellent one. We are delighted to have two such respected names in cricket pitch maintenance involved in what we do.

"We value their support and this new line of communication to clubs is sure to be appreciated by their groundsmen. It’s also an exciting extra string to our bow in trying to spread the game of cricket abroad."
