India Women marched to a comprehensive nine-wicket win over New Zealand in the fifth and final One-Day International in Bangalore to clinch a 3-2 series victory.

For the second game in a row, they confidently chased down their target with MD Thirush Kamini not out on 62 as the overhauled New Zealand's score of 118 all out.

Jhulan Goswami, Shivanand Rajeshwari and Deepti Sharma all took two wickets as the White Ferns were dismissed in 41 overs.

Suzie Bates top scored with 42 in 85 balls at the top of the order but had little support as India's bowlers held sway.

Sophie Devine (18) and Anna Peterson (22) were the only others to reach double figures as Ekta Bisht and Harmanpreet Kaur also took a wicket apiece.

Thirush Kamini then added 18 with Smriti Mandhana (13) for the first wicket, which fell when Mandhana was caught and bowled by Morna Nielsen.

Thereafter, India dominated proceedings with Thirush Kamini hitting 13 fours during her innings and Sharma making an unbeaten 44 in 78 deliveries.

India reached their target in just 27.2 overs to seal a come-from-behind series win.

The two sides now play three Twenty20 Internationals, beginning with the first on Saturday 11th July.
