Group B, YB40, Derbyshire v Lancashire at Derby
Derbyshire have rewarded seamers Alasdair Evans and Mark Footitt for their strong showings against the New Zealanders last weekend. They come in for Mark Turner and Tony Palladino, who both have injuries. Also included in a 14-man squad is all-rounder Alex Hughes, while Richard Johnson will replace Tom Poynton behind the stumps.

Derbyshire squad: Wayne Madsen (captain), Chesney Hughes, Wes Durston, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Dan Redfern, Ross Whiteley, Richard Johnson, Jonathan Clare, David Wainwright, Tim Groenewald, Mark Footitt, Alex Hughes, Alasadir Evans, Billy Godleman.

Lancashire will be captained by Glen Chapple, but are without Simon Kerrigan, who is away with the England Lions. Paul Horton missed out from the 14-man squad.

Lancashire squad: Glen Chapple (captain), Stephen Moore, Karl Brown, Steven Croft, Simon Katich, Ashwell Prince, Luke Procter, Gareth Cross, Wayne White, Kyle Hogg, Stephen Parry, Jordan Clark, Arron Lilley, Oliver Newby.

Group B, YB40, Scotland v Essex at Edinburgh
The Saltires will not be able to call upon the services of Matt Machan after he was named in the Sussex squad to play Warwickshire. They may, however, pick veteran seamer Dewald Nel, who is looking to play his first match for them following a long injury lay-off.

Scotland squad: Preston Mommsen (captain), Freddie Coleman, Ewan Chalmers, Richie Berrington, Calum MacLeod, Calvin Burnett, Matthew Cross, Gordon Drummond, Majid Haq, Moneeb Iqbal, Michael Leask, Dewald Nel, Paddy Sadler.

Essex had named a 13-strong squad for their trip north, but that has been reduced to 12 following the injury to Rob Quiney (see News In Brief).

Essex squad: James Foster (captain), Tom Westley, Jaik Mickleburgh, Ben Foakes, Mark Pettini, Greg Smith, Graham Napier, Tim Phillips, Sajid Mahmood, David Masters, Reece Topley, Tymal Mills.

Group C, YB40, Glamorgan v Unicorns at Cardiff
Glamorgan have surprisingly never beaten the Unicorns, with two washouts and two defeats to show from their four matches. Two former players, Aneurin Norman and Mike O’Shea, are in the Unicorns line-up and will hoping to extend their winless run to five games. Glamorgan, though, have won both of their opening matches and have named an unchanged 14-man squad.

Glamorgan squad: Marcus North (captain)  Will Bragg, Mark Wallace, Chris Cooke, Jim Allenby, Murray Goodwin, Ben Wright, Graham Wagg, John Glover, Dean Cosker, Michael Hogan, Mike Reed, Will Owen, John Glover.

Group C, YB40, Gloucestershire v Middlesex at Bristol

Weather Forecast: It will start dry and bright initially but a band of rain will push in from the west and cover most of England, Scotland and Wales by mid afternoon. The match at The Oval is likely to see the most play of any with rain not set to arrive in London until around the time of the tea interval. It will also be relatively cool, with temperatures peaking at between 11 and 14 degrees Celsius.

County Cricket News In Brief:
have been dealt a major blow with the news that Aussie overseas star Rob Quiney will miss at least the next 10 weeks of the season with a shoulder injury. Quiney was due to move up to open alongside Tom Westley in the Championship following Alastair Cook’s departure on England duty, but that role is now likely to fall to Jaik Mickleburgh.

Gloucestershire players Will Gidman and Jack Taylor have both been ruled out for around 10 days after picking up injuries during the final day of the drawn match against Hampshire. Gidman aggravated an existing ankle injury, while Taylor hurt his shoulder in the warm-up before play started. In brighter news for the club, injured seamers Ian Saxelby, Liam Norwell, James Fuller and Paul Muchall are all nearing full fitness.
