COVID-19: Cricketing action that will keep you going till normalcy returns

©PCB/PSL

The Pakistan Super League, the Momentum One Day Cup and a handful of other cricketing fixtures continue to provide the much-required fodder to the fanatics of the sport.

There was an interesting observation made about war prisoners at the time of the second word war: Snatch his bread loaf and he will fall in line; snatch his last piece of bread and he will revolt.

Although the stakes are nowhere as high as war, the cricket fans are stuck in a similar situation.

On March 5, Everest Premier League in Nepal was postponed amid coronavirus fears. On March 11, the World XI v Asia XI matches were postponed. On March 12, Australia Women's tour of South Africa was postponed and Notts canceled their friendly due to Northants' Singapore tour.

On March 13, the England tour of Sri Lanka and the India v South Africa ODI series were postponed and IPL 2020 deferred until April 15. The cancellation of the Australia v New Zealand due to travel restrictions became the latest victim of the coronavirus outbreak.

This was the bread loaf.
