Cricket Australia XI Beat South Africans

A Cricket Australia XI beat the touring South Africans by 22 runs in a Twenty20 match at the North Sydney Oval.

After the CA XI compiled 189 for five from their 20 overs, the South Africans were bowled out for 167 in reply.

CA XI captain Ashton Turner top scored with 73 while Seb Gotch hit 40 in 25 balls.

Kyle Abbott returned two for 22 for the tourists.

Rilee Rossouw (47), Wayne Parnell (35) and Reeza Hendricks (22) then made contributions for the South Africans but they fell short.

Ben Ashkenazi and James Muirhead took three wickets apiece.

South Africa take on Australia in the first of three Twenty20 Internationals on Wednesday 5th November.
