Round 2 match of the Bob Willis Trophy 2020, which takes the place of the County Championship 2020, will be played between Middlesex and Hampshire at Brunton Memorial Ground, Radlett.

Hampshire suffered a 194-run defeat at the hands of Sussex in their first match of the Bob Willis Trophy 2020. Ajeet Dale and Mason Crane were their best bowlers in the first innings and picked up three wickets each while Ian Holland chipped in with two.

However, it was their batting which disappointed them. Despite 20s from Tom Alsop, Sam Northeast and Harry Came, none of them could go big in the second innings as the team was bowled out for just 150 with James Fuller being the top scorer with 30.

Felix Organ and Mason Crane picked up three wickets each for the side in the second innings.

Middlesex won their round 1 match against Surrey by 190 runs. Nick Gubbins was their top scorer in the first innings with 192 and would consider himself unfortunate to be dismissed just eight short of a well-deserved double century.

He scored another half-century in the match. Do did Martin Andersson as the team chased down the target comfortably.

In the bowling department, Tim Murtagh was the stand out and picked up 5 wickets in the first innings. He came back to share 5 wickets with Miguel Cummins in the second innings.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:
Hampshire - Joe Weatherley, Felix Organ, Tom Alsop, Sam Northeast (c), Harry Came, Ian Holland, Lewis McManus (wk), James Fuller, Keith Barker, Mason Crane, Ajeet Dale

Middlesex - Sam Robson, Max Holden, Nick Gubbins, Stephen Eskinazi (c), Martin Andersson, John Simpson (wk), James Harris, Nathan Sowter, Thilan Walallawita, Miguel Cummins, Tim Murtagh
