The 3rd and the last match of the test series between England and Pakistan will be played at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

It was a pity that the 2nd test match ended in the manner in which it did. The 134.3 overs that did take place presented thrilling cricket, with the ball dominating the bat.

Even in the 36 overs on the last day when the draw had long become inevitable, Pakistan's bowling attack challenged the England batsmen, with resistance from Zak Crawley. If weather does permit a result in the third test, fans will be treated to some more cricketing action of the highest order.

The only good thing to come out of the drawn test apart from the 13 World Test Championship points that both teams garnered was that both the bowling attacks are now well rested.

Unlike the series against West Indies where the the likes of Shannon Gabriel and Kemar Roach were bowled into the dirt, the Pakistan attack will be fresh to run in for one last time in the series.

Both teams are expected to make one change each. Pakistan are likely to go back to Shadab Khan who will come into the XI in place of Fawad Alam. The same strip that was used for the second test is expected to be used for this match as well and will thus assist the spinners.

England are expected to bring back Jofra Archer for Sam Curran to provide some versatility to their bowling attack.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XI of both teams:

England - Rory Burns, Dominic Sibley, Zak Crawley, Joe Root (c), Ollie Pope, Jos Buttler (wk), Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer/Mark Wood, Dominic Bess, Stuart Broad, James Anderson

Pakistan - Shan Masood, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali (c), Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Yasir Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah
