Falcons will expect Suzie Bates to be their strike player. Bates must be hurting both on a team level as well as an individual front after New Zealand's poor outings in international cricket over the last couple of years and her form deserting her as well.
Bates wasn't picked for the WPL, but she still has a point to prove for being among the leading players in world cricket. Chamari Athapaththu is coming off a ton in a domestic exhibition match in Pakistan and is in good form.
All-rounder Marizanne Kapp (South Africa) and batter Danni Wyatt (England) will also be instrumental to Falcons' success.
Tornadoes will have the services of West Indian legend Stefanie Taylor who recently returned to competitive cricket and has still got the game for the top level.
Dane van Niekerk, who announced her international retirement recently, did not get a game for RCB but has worked on her fitness a lot and will be itching to get out there in the middle and prove a point.
Sterre Kalis (Netherlands), Sune Luus (South Africa), Diana Baig (Pakistan), Aliya Riaz (Pakistan), Chanida Sutthiruang (Thailand) and Mary-Anne Musonda (Zimbabwe) are the other players to keep an eye on.
