The 2nd ODI of the three-match series between West Indies and Sri Lanka will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua in West Indies.

It was a breezy ride for West Indies in the first ODI. Sri Lanka were on track for a big score after opening batsmen Danushka Gunathilaka and Dimuth Karunaratne added over 100 runs for the opening partnership.

However, a strange dismissal obstructing the field for Gunathilaka and run outs of Pathum Nissanka and Angelo Mathews hit the Sri Lankan innings hard. Courtesy of some tight bowling from Jason Holder, Sri Lanka were rolled over for 232.

West Indies then chased down the target comfortably to win by 8 wickets with three overs remaining. Evin Lewis scored 65, but it was Shai Hope with 110, who was the main man for West Indies.

Hope brought up his 10th ODI century in the last match to become only the 8th West Indian batsman to do so. Darren Bravo (37) and Jason Mohammed (13) then ensured that there were no further hiccups in a match where the Sri Lankan bolwers looked toothless.

While West Indies look a lot stronger at the moment, do not rule out Sri Lanka yet. As a team, SL showed that they have the potential to come back strongly in the second T20I. However, the visiting batsmen will have to bat a lot more sensibly while their bowlers will have to create more opportunities.
