The Bangladesh batsmen threw it away in the first innings but it is their bowlers who keep steering them back in the match.
Zimbabwe failed to capitalise on their first innings lead that they had managed. Although skipper Hamilton Masakadza scored 48 and missed to double up with another half century in the second innings, the batsmen following him were a disappointment.
Each of Brendan Taylor, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza and Regis Chakabva got starts but did not cash in with an impact performance. Taijul Islam who was the star for Bangladesh in their first innings proved their best bowler yet again. Mehidy Hasan chipped in with three wickets and Nazmul Islam with two.
Taijul picked up a fifer in the second innings as well to go along with his 6-fer in the first essay. These are his best figures in Tests.
Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara bowled well with the new ball but were not able to give Zimbabwe breakthroughs as was the case in the first innings. Liton Das and Imrul Kayes survived 10 overs before bad light stopped play.
The match is very well set up with Bangladesh needing 295 runs to win while Zimbabwe need all of 10 wickets. The important thing though is that the pitch has showed no signs of deterioration.
Let's have a look at the playing XIs of both teams.
