Australia's gain is Adelaide's loss as all three of Peter Siddle, Alex Carey and Billy Stanlake have been selected in the Australian ODI team. However, they would be available for the time being. Travis Head, on account of being part of the Australian Test team and ODI team, will not be available.
Alex Carey and Jake Weatherland will hold the key for the batting lineup of Adelaide Strikers. Carey has scored two-half-centuries and has 161 runs from five matches. Weatherland is coming on the back of a 71-run knock against Melbourne Renegades. Colin Ingram has also found from recently.
Rashid Khan, as always, has been the nemesis of the opposition batsmen. He has eight wickets from five matches and has been very miserly. Rashid has been well assisted by Peter Siddle who claimed figures of 3-20 in the match against Sydney Thunder.
Jordan Silk has been the leading batsman for Sydney sixers. Daniel Hughes has also been good and has hit two half-centuries. However, Joe Denly and Moises Henriques have only one good knock each to show.
Tom Curran has played his role brilliantly with both bat and ball. He smashed 62 in the Sydney derby. Left-arm spinner Steve O'Keefe has 11 wickets from six matches and would form the core of the bowling along with Sean Abbott.
