After making it to the finals in the last season, Hobart Hurricanes have had a sensational start this year as they have won all of their first three matches.

Perth Scorchers, on other hand, led the points table in the league stage last season before getting beaten in the semifinals. The Scorchers lost two of their first three matches before winning the Boxing Day encounter against Adelaide Strikers.

With Tim Paine on national duty, Matthew Wade has not only kept the wickets but has also taken over the reigns of the side as skipper. Wade has cracked two half-centuries while D'Arcy Short has scores of 67, 34 and 58.

James Faulkner has picked up five wickets including 3-25 against Brisbane Heat. Jofra Archer has also picked up six wickets which include figures of 2-23 and 3-25.

Perth Scorchers are missing the all round services of Michelle Marsh who is currently playing Test cricket for Australia. The team included wicketkeeper batsman Josh Inglis in their playing XI in the last match and Inglis lived up to the expectations as he not only kept wickets well but also opened the batting for the Scorchers. Apart from him, only Hilton Cartwright has looked a bit impressive who slammed a half-century against Sydney Sixers.

That being said, their bowling has been sensational with Jason Behrendorff leading the way. Jhye Richardson and Andrew Tye have have also made invaluable contributions and the team's bowlers are looking at the top of their game.

Let's have a look at the probable playing XIs of both teams.
